V8 Hot Laps Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our track events are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and places are limited for every event.

You will need to read and agree to our terms and conditions and submit a booking.

You are paying for a V8 drive or ride experience. This includes a set amount of laps, an experienced instructor with you in the car.

• Drive in our cars. Ride in our cars. Or do both.
• Pro driving instructor.
• V8 race prepped car.
• Racing helmet.
• Group safety briefing.
• Lots of fun!

You will be allowed to enter the track approximately 1 hour before your booked session.

You will also recieve a wrist band prior to heading out onto the track. You will need your current drivers licence.

You must arrive at least 45 minutes before the session to take part in an mandatory safety briefing. This covers compulsory rules, signals, track etiquette and the session’s itinerary. If you are late for the briefing your session may be delayed.

It is important that you read and understand the terms and conditions here. Your participation in your session relies on you reading and agreeing to these terms.

• Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your session.
• You will need to sign on and receive a wrist band prior to heading out on the track. 
• For all V8 Hot Laps experiences use Sign on A unless otherwise notified to use Sign on B (See map below)
• A mandatory safety briefing is held prior to your session in your car. If you are late for the briefing your session maybe delayed.

Depending on what experience you've booked, allow at least 2 hours for drive and ride experiences and 4 hours for the half day Platinum experience

Check your booking details for your start time. V8 Hot Laps reserves the right to alter start times at their discretion.

• Minimum age for a passenger is 14 years. (If you are under 18 you will need a Parent or Guardian signed authority).
• Minimum age for a driver is 18 years (and must hold a current drivers licence).

Please note: All our V8 cars are manual, you need to be confident in driving a manual vehicle, this is not the time to learn to drive a manual vehicle.

You will need to be over 18 years of age. (and must hold a current drivers licence)

As you will be using the track with other V8 hot laps customers, V8 Hot Laps reserves the right, at its discretion, to refuse drivers who have little or no driving experience.

We do not expect you to be good at racing but we require sufficient competency in the process of driving.

Single passenger participants over 14 are welcome providing they have a Parent or Guardian signed authority.

Passengers can book ahead or simply turn up on the day if there is a vacancy. Passenger fees apply.

Please wear closed in ankle height driving shoes (preferably sneakers), socks, long pants and long sleeve shirt (No heels, No work boots, No Thongs). Helmets are provided.

ID can be either a Drivers Licence or Photo ID.

Your Drivers Licence must be current, so bring it with you.

Our cars are purpose built V8 race prepped cars and not V8 Supercars. All cars are allocated on availability basis. You do not have a choice of make and model.
